Fried Cauliflower Tacos

These Fried Cauliflower Tacos are one of the most popular dishes from So Radish, a vegan restaurant in Arvada, CO that closed in 2023. Try them with Poblano Ranch and Pickled Red Onions, as they were served at the restaurant, change them up with your own topping ideas, or serve the fried cauliflower with your choice of dipping sauce for a delicious appetizer!

Ingredients
  

Cauliflower:

  • 1 Large head of cauliflower cut into bite-sized pieces (see note)

Batter:

  • 1 cup Unsweetened soy milk
  • 1 Tbsp Apple cider vinegar
  • 1/3 cup Frank’s Red Hot
  • 2 tsp Corn starch
  • 1 Tbsp Flax seed meal

  • Fill and preheat deep fryer according to manufacturer instructions.
  • Whisk together batter ingredients and let sit for 10 minutes. Whisk together breading ingredients in a second bowl.
  • Dip pieces of cauliflower in batter mixture, followed by breading mixture, then fry for about 3-4 minutes.
  • Fry corn tortillas in skillet over medium heat with a small amount of oil (about ½ tsp is plenty!)
  • Add a small amount of avocado slices to each tortilla, followed by fried cauliflower, and top with lettuce/cabbage mix, pickled red onions and poblano ranch
